A proposal for utility rate increases scheduled for a May city council meeting has been postponed until later in the year in consideration of the COVID-19 pandemic. Review the proposed increases and contact the city by email or call 952.960.7900 with questions or comments.
Water meters are read each quarter and the amount used is rounded to the nearest 1,000 gallons of usage and billed accordingly (updated January 2021).
- $22.20 per quarter for the first 5,000 gallons.
- $3.75 per 1,000 gallons in excess of 5,000 gallons up to 50,000 gallons.
- $5.39 per thousand gallons in excess of 50,000 gallons per quarter.
- $94.57 per quarter (residential).
- $14 per quarter per household (no 2021 increase)
The residential rate is determined by lot size.
- Less than 10,000 sq. ft. = $22.39
- 10,000 – 50,000 sq. ft. =$31.97
- Lot excess 50,000 sq. ft. = $41.61
