Volunteer gardeners are sought to assist with city gardens. If you would like to learn more or find the location of one of the gardens, please contact the city at 952.960.7900. This is a great project for neighborhoods, community organizations, families and individuals.
Arctic Fever
The Arctic Fever Committee is looking for volunteers to work at various locations and events during the Arctic Fever Winter Festival, the third weekend in January. For information or to volunteer call the city at 952.960.7900.
Community Organizations
At various times of the year, the City of Shorewood seeks residents to represent the city on the board of various community organizations. These are volunteer appointments. Each representative is encouraged to provide a quarterly report to the City Council on the organization’s activities.
Excelsior Lake Minnetonka Chamber of Commerce
Excelsior-Lake Minnetonka Chamber Welcome Center, various hours and days available, located in downtown Excelsior.
A 501c3 organization that raises money for Shorewood parks and programs, decides on where to donate the money raised. The organization also serves as a 501c3 grant recipient for city park programs. This growing foundation is open to all Shorewood residents. It meets according to member schedules three times per year or as needed.
Shorewood Recycling Committee
Help with education programming, etc. Any resident with a strong interest in recycling, sustainability or the environment is encouraged to join. Meetings are arranged as the committee sees a need and works with the schedules of participants. Call the city, 952.960.7900, or send an email of interest to cityhall@ci.shorewood.mn.us.
