City public works crews are flushing hydrants. The annual spring hydrant flushing can cause temporary browning of home water systems. The brown in the water is iron and is not harmful, but is not appealing to look at or drink. To clear your water, run a cold water faucet on a lower level of the home until the water runs clear.
If you notice browning or low water pressure 36 hours after flushing, call the city at 952.960.7900 to report the issue.
