Street Sweeping begins Mon, Oct 23

Street sweeping of all 50 miles of city streets will begin Monday, October 23 and will take approximately 5-6 weeks to complete. If you see the sweeper in your area, please move parked vehicles off the street so that the crew can sweep the entire street.

Street sweeping removes sediment, leaves/vegetation, vehicle debris/waste and litter from the street and prevents the waste from getting into catch basins, ponds, lakes and rivers. Street sweeping is required by the city’s stormwater permit and is performed once in the spring and once in the fall.
